Welcome to the UpUrAlley Site Tour! If you're new to the site and not sure how to find your way around, this is a great place to get started. The tour walks you through the basics, but if you're left with any questions, you can also try the FAQ or email us at enquiries@upuralley.com.
We'd also love to hear your comments on UpUrAlley – if you have any suggestions for improvement, please drop us a line!
We've tried to make navigating through the website as simple as possible. You have two main options: using the main navigation bar at the top of the page, or the site map you can find at the bottom of each page.
The main navigation bar contains links to the major sections of UpUrAlley: Live, Work and Play. There are also links to the About and Help sections of the site, and a Home button that will always help you find your way back to the homepage for your street.
When you hover over each link, you will notice that they turn orange, so that you will always be able to clearly see which link you are about to click on. You will also always be able to tell which part of the site you are in: the active link will remain green on the page.
The site map helps you navigate to specific areas of the website quickly, and gives you an overview of the site's contents &ndash you can also check it out for an idea of features yet to come!
You can get to the Live section for your street's site by clicking on the Live link in the main navigation bar (or on the sitemap). Here, you can view and comment on recent news and post and view housing advertisements.
You can also get to the Work section by clicking on the Work link. In this section, you can view and comment on recent stories, or post or view job listings.
You can get to the Play section by clicking on the Play link. In this section, you can read and respond to the latest stories – you can even contribute reviews if you want.
UpUrAlley also features a number of ways to help you keep up with what's going on in your street. You can subscribe to our feeds, or check out the TweetGrid for the absolute latest word on the street.

The TweetGrid is a tool to help you keep up with what's happening in your street right now, by picking up Twitter messages from other visitors to UpUrAlley whenever they notice something new. You can also send your own Twitter messages to UpUrAlley's TweetGrid – for example, you could send a message to the Lygon UpUralley Tweetgrid by adding the hashtag #uplygon to your message.
